Hi I'm Brianna

I am a college student who likes collecting comic books, playing video games, and drinking milkshakes. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I recently graduated college with my bachelor's in Criminal Justice. I'm now serving a full time mission for the church in the Fort Collins Colorado mission. I collect comics books and really anything superhero related: posters, action figures, clothing, etc. I will read pretty much any genre of book. I love knowledge and I'm grateful to live in a time when information is so accessible. I like to play video games, especially with other people. And I love to play board games whenever I can find people willing to play. I enjoy reading poetry and write a little myself. I also enjoy jokes, puns, kittens, laughing, cartoons, milkshakes, music, and most of all making people smile.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born a member of the church. When I was young I believed its teachings because I was surrounded by good, intelligent people who believed it. When I reached my teenage years, I read the Book of Mormon all the way through for the first time. Never in my life had I felt so close to my savior, Jesus Christ. At the conclusion of my reading, I knelt and prayed with all my heart to know if the Book of Mormon was the word of God. The Spirit of God overwhelmed me and I knew without a doubt that it was. I knew Joseph Smith was a real prophet and that this church was the right place to be. As I grow older, those truths have stuck with me, and I have continued to have confirmation of the truthfulness of other teachings of the church. My testimony has given me an eternal perspective, which I find eases some of the burdens of mortality.

How I live my faith

I live my faith everyday by attempting to follow in the footsteps of Jesus Christ. I hope that through my actions, people can know that I love the Lord, without me speaking a word. Through church, I have learned the importance of lifting up those around you to be the best they can be, and allowing others to lift you up. I try to translate this to other parts of my life with people who are not members of my faith. I always try to find little ways (and sometimes big ways) to serve and show love those around me. I find these things to be easier when I pray for the guidance of how to act and the strength to act.
