Hi I'm Kathy

I live in Phoenix, AZ. I'm a Registered Nurse at a local hospital. I have 6 wonderful children. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a married mom with 6 children and I'm going back to school to finish my college degree. It has taken a long time to do this as I can only take one class at a time! I work at a local hospital to support my family. My husband is disabled and I am so blessed to have a job during these difficult economic times! I love to play with my children, read, hike, bake, and scrapbook. We love music in our home and love to sing, dance and play the piano.

Why I am a Mormon

I love being a member of Christ's church. Living the gospel makes me happy! I have a wonderful support system of friends-- "sisters" in this church that truly care about me and my family. This church has answered ALL of my questions about "where I came from, why am I here on this earth, and what happens to my spirit after I die?" I absolutely LOVE it!! I have a a true sense of peace and closeness to my Heavenly Father. I KNOW that this is the true church on the earth today where we are guided by a LIVING prophet! That's exciting to me!! God continues to reveal His truths and His counsel today just like in the days of old when Moses, Abraham, Isaac and Jacob were prophets!

How I live my faith

I love that our church is involved in serving others! Our family recently was involved with our community in collecting items for Community Bridges, an organization that helps people who are struggling to get their lives back in order including homeless individuals, veterans, pregnant teens, and others. We helped to create hundreds of homeless boxes and baby boxes with the youth in our church for those who needed a little extra help getting on their feet. There are many opportunities that we have participated in as a family to serve others in our community. Serving others is what our church is all about! I also get to visit women in my church each month and help them and their families with the needs that they have. In addition, two women come to MY home each month to check on me and my family as well. I love this church and all of the wonderful things it has to offer my family. It has a great youth program and teaches/emphasizes wonderful values that are taught to the youth each week, starting at age eight! We have "Family Night" once a week where we gather with our family to learn gospel principles, play games, have treats, and serve others. It helps us to grow closer as a family when we set aside one night a week to do this.
