Hi I'm Karen

I'm a mom of 5 girls, and grandma of 13. I love quilting and gardening. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My father was in the Air Force so we traveled around a lot when I was young. We settled in Arizona, where I was introduced to the church for the first time. On December 23rd as a 15 year old, I was baptized. I married my high school sweetheart in 1976. We have 5 daughters and 13 grandkids. I love to quilt, garden, and play with my grandkids.

Why I am a Mormon

As a Christmas gift one year, I asked to be baptized in a church so we began to investigate different religions. After moving to Arizona, we were invited to attend an LDS church. We then began to take the missionary lessons, and our family was baptized on December 23rd. I am a Mormon because it makes me happy. I find I am the happiest when I am serving others and trying to be a better person. I know that this is the true church on the earth today. We have a living prophet to lead and guide us to someday return and live with out Father in heaven again. Through prayer, I have come to discover that I am never alone. Our heavenly father is mindful of each and every one of us. Through obedience, I have seen many blessings come my way.

How I live my faith

My husband and I currently serve in a bishopric for a young single adult ward. We are in charge of activities, such as service projects. I help the youth plan weekly get togethers, temple sessions, and service opportunities. I love helping the youth see their great potential.
