Hi I'm Elisabeth

I grew up in Japan. I spend my days blogging and studying. I love my family. I am a mormon.

About Me

I am a 20 something year old wife and college student. I am studying International Relations and Japanese. I love traveling, dance, chocolate, music, and my family. I got married to my best friend. Together we love to rock climb, camp, and occasionally he convinces me to go mountain biking. My family and my faith are everything to me. I believe in a Loving Father in Heaven. I believe he sent his Son, Jesus Christ, to die for us, to atone for our sins. I believe i am not perfect, but that through the grace of Christ I can return and live with God again. Whatever I do here on earth will not be enough, but because I love the Lord, I will do my best to do all that He asks of me. I believe in families. I believe that families are eternal units, put in place by God to help us become the creatures He wants us to be. I believe in life after death. I believe in a heaven. I believe in a loving God that wants us all to get back to Him. I also believe that we won't all make it, but that as we go throughout life, helping each other to that end is one of the most important things we can do.

Why I am a Mormon

I love my Lord and my Savior. And I know that He not only loves me, but He knows me. He died for me and I want to live for Him. I love Him for showing me the way to live. To think, this omniscient being outlined a way for use to go through life, His commandments through His prophets, and He wants me to be happy. I know that by following Him, and following His commandments outlined in His church, I am happier, stronger, more loving, and more like the creature He wants me to be. I love this church because of what it teaches me to be, but its deeper than that. I love this church because He is in every part of it. I choose to be Mormon because God has witnessed to me that it is His church, and that by living His commandments I will be the happiest and be closer to Him.

How I live my faith

I go to church every week, say my prayers everyday, but more importantly I am trying to be like Christ every second. Religion is not something I leave in the Chapel; religion is my relationship with my Savior that I try to strengthen everyday. As part of my church organization I help plan events and activities to bring believers together. I also visit some of the lovely sisters in my congregation to see how they are doing and help meet their needs. Being an instrument in the Lord's hands is a wonderful thing.
