Hi I'm Barbara

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a wife of 50 years to a wonderful husband. We have three children, fourteen grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren. We are retired so we enjoy traveling and seeing our beautiful country. I enjoy doing crafts such as scrapbooking & crocheting. At the present time, I am a primary teacher and work in our family history center. Eight years ago, my husband and I served a full-time mission at the Chicago Temple as ordinance workers.....what a wonderful experience. Being a member of The church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints has given me the opportunity to meet and become friends with many brothers and sisters in the gospel. These will be eternal friendships.

Why I am a Mormon

I was introduced to the gospel over 50 years ago and for the most, I've been very active. Looking back over the years I've found that if you don't have the gospel in your life, then life is really nothing but a shell and the gospel fills that shell with faith hope and charity. Because my husband and I are sealed for time & eternity, our love for each other will last for eternity and our children are sealed to us. I can't see myself living without the gospel.

How I live my faith

I am very active with church callings. I teach the 10-11 year old girls in the Primary. I enjoy doing genealogy, so I work in the family history center twice a month. Doing my genealogy, I have found ancestors who traveled west from Nauvoo. With being a member for over 50 years, I have done just about everything from teaching the very young children to the adult Sunday school class.
