Hi I'm Kalin

I'm an actor, I'm a writer, I'm a fan of Literature, I'm from Star Valley, Wyoming & I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am currently studying English and Spanish Education at BYU Idaho. I am in my third year at school and I love it. I am the Community Service Director with the Gifts of Grace, which is an organization that my brother started here in Rexburg. It is a great cause. It is an organization that helps keep kids in schools and out of the hands of bad people. Every semester I organize a food drive with all the apartment complexes in Rexburg. We donate that to a rescue mission in Idaho Falls. It takes a lot of work, but it is worth it in the end. I want to be like Christ and help people. That has always been a dream in life. Which is why I am planning on going to Law School after I finish up my bachelors degree. I served a mission in Merida Mexico between the years of 2011-2013. I loved my mission and all the people I taught there. It was the best time of my life. On a mission you learn a lot of things. You learn to pray for other people, you learn to preach the gospel, and you learn to love people. It is something that I wish everyone could experience.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because, well I guess you could say I have been an the straight and narrow path my entire life. I remember a point in my life where I did not feel very special. I remember comparing myself to others and just making myself feel sad. However the Book of Mormon really changed that. It helped me realize that no matter who I am or what I do, that I really do matter to God. I cannot even express the joys and comforts the gospel has brought into my life. It has given me amazing friends that support me and strengthen my testimony, and it has given me an amazing family who are all active in the church. During my life I have been on the foundation of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, a foundation wherein, I cannot fall. My foundation and testimony have strengthened throughout my life as I have read the Book Mormon, listened to the apostles and prophets, and attended church. The path I am on right now has never lead me astray, and I plan to stay on it for my entire life.

How I live my faith

Well. . . pretty much everything I do -all day and everyday- I can relate to the gospel in some way. But more importantly I live the callings I have been given. Before I left for my mission I was a home teacher with my Grandpa and we visited 3 amazing families the second Sunday of every month. When I was a missionary, all of my time was dedicated to serving the lord for a full 2 years. I think most important is to be Christlike. If you are Christlike you are living your faith.
