Hi I'm Connor Brannen! :D

I love cars, sports, and my family. I love life. I'm a follower of Jesus Christ, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm currently a junior at Creekside High School. I don't like school but I try my hardest to get a good education. I love the Gospel of Jesus Christ, it blesses my life everyday. Seminary is definitely a testimony builder because it gives me that strength to get through the day. I try to be a good example to all my non-member friends by trying to be like my savior. I love to talk to my friends about the church and try to answer all the questions they have. I can't wait to serve the lord through my mission. I wish I could leave right now to spread the Gospel to those who need it. Repentance is such a beautiful thing and through it I gained my testimony of this wonderful church of Jesus Christ.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the church to a loving family. Through the years of my life church was just something I went to with my family on Sunday, and went to activities on Wednesday. It never really meant anything to me until I went to EFY. EFY is a great program for the youth of this church and I'm so grateful for it. The first year I went to EFY was great. It was a great experience but I went for the wrong reason. I wasnt there to gain a testimony. And that's what was wrong. After my first time at EFY, It changed me for about a month, then I was back doing the bad things I shouldn't be doing. In the middle of that year, my grandfather past away. He was the best example of a member of this church. A loving father, grandfather, husband, faithful member, 2 time bishop, and patriarch for 33 years, had past away. This opened my eyes of how precious life is and what we should do with it. So, EFY, year 2, Thursday night, testimony meeting. What a powerful night full of great testimonies, and changing hearts. I bore my testimony for the first time. The spirit overwhelmed me so much that it felt as if I'd been reborn. When I got on my knees that night it felt as if a blanket of love was wrapped around me. At first it was hard to get down on my knees because it felt as if Heavenly Father had forgot about me; but he didn't. He was waiting for me to call upon him. The minute my knees hit the floor in that dorm room at EFY, the negative feelings of nothingness were lifted. Things seemed clear and attainable and I knew if I turned to Christ and kept that open communication with him I would never feel that emptiness again. I'm thankful for EFY and the spiritual experience that comes of it.

How I live my faith

Since I've gained my testimony, I have been more and more active in church activities and callings. When you live the Gospel of Jesus Christ and keep the commandments, life just seems to be easier. I read my scriptures almost everyday because I love to feel the spirit and have it with me as it guides me through my day. When I don't read my scriptures, I seem to be more angry and prone to do bad things or act in an offensive way. By reading the scriptures, mostly the Book of Mormon, it seems to make my day better everyday. Even if I read one chapter, that's enough to make my day better. The scriptures calm me, guide me, and teach me something new everyday. I have a strong testimony of the Book of Mormon. I have read it and taken on Moroni's promise. I testify that as you read the Book of Mormon it will not only bless your life, but the life of others too.
