Hi I'm Bob Scott

I am musician, racquetball intermural champion, food connoisseur, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am serving a mission. I was a music major at a local two year college in Ephraim Utah called Snow College. I play the bass, bass guitar, some cello and some piano. Food is also one of my true great passions. I have worked in a cabinet shop and as a Substitue teacher. In my short lifetime I have already had opportunities to teach from Kindergarten to Undergrad College students. I also love football, basketball, tennis, and racquetball.

Why I am a Mormon

Well I was born into this church and I just thought and found out for myself that it is true! Really it's true! Without this church I wouldn't be here now. My family came over from Campsie, Scotland in the 1800's because it is what was required of them, to gather to Zion. On the other side of my family it only goes back about 50 years ago, but that faith of my family has helped to bring me here. Through the faith of my mom and grandma they learned that living the gospel would mean having to leave behind the "traditions of their fathers." Being of Mexican descent it was just natural to live the Catholic tradition. When missionaries came and knocked on their door a mighty change came. For that I will be ever grateful! For myself I had to find out through much study and prayer. I have felt the Spirit of the Lord and told me it is true. For that I cannot deny it.

How I live my faith

I am serving my mission and helping others recieve this truth! Before I served my mission I was a college student just going through school and life. My parents instilled in me values and truths of this church. When I was finally on my own it was then that I realized that I need to not just talk about my faith, but to actually live it. It's hard when the world is telling you that you can do whatever you want, but when that happens things go down the drain. It's living what you know to be true that makes living worthwhile. I mean really it is just like what Paul says in the Bible that faith without works is dead. You need to constantly be doing good works and continually learning about Christ. That is why every morning I enjoy studying the scriptures the words of God. This is how I think I live my faith.
