Hi I'm Cris Valdez

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a forty-five year old professional in higher education, living in Sidney, Ohio. I enjoy sports of almost all kinds, don't get Hockey and not real interested in wrestling. I enjoy hiking and outdoor recreation and family activities. I have officiated many sports including basketball, baseball and volleyball.

Why I am a Mormon

I initially joined the Church because I wanted my young son (two years old at the time) to be raised with good principles with the exceptionaly kind and generous people I had met in the Church. I came to find that the Gospel is so true and the principles by which I now live have allowed my family to flourish and share a love that we couldn't have imagined before. We continue to meet and interact with amazingly great people in the Church and our children are unimaginably strong, independent and influential leaders. They truly know the are children of their Heavenly Father and act accordingly. Our marriage has grown closer as we have continued to live the gospel. I wouldn't change anything in my life.

How I live my faith

We try diligently to honor our membership in the Church and my Priesthood. I attend church regularly and do all that I can to accept responsibilities in and outside of the Church. We read our scriptures daily and pray as a family several times a day. We try to be kind to others and show a portion of the love that our Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ gives us.
