Hi I'm Judy

I am a grandmother, mother, and friend. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a wife. I am a mother to four sons and two daughters. I am a mother-in-law to the wives of my sons. I am a grandmother to five grandchildren. I love them all. They bring me the greatest joy, along with a whole range of other emotions. I worked full-time when I married and had completed very little college. I obtained my associates degree after my youngest child was born by taking one class a semester for years. Because of that, I have encouraged my children to complete their college as soon as possible after high school because it is much harder to complete later in life. I am a sports enthusiast for any sport that my children participate in. I have spent more hours at my children's competitions than I can count and I loved every moment. If watching was the same as participating, I would look like and be able to claim the role of athlete. I am the family editor for school papers and essays, but am happy that role is diminishing as I have fewer children still in school.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into a family that was active in the Mormon faith. I recognized at a young age, though, how important the gospel is to my happiness. I have not wavered from that knowledge. In fact, its truthfulness has become clearer to me each year. The gospel of Jesus Christ is the rock that is firm and unmovable in my life. I am grateful for the love and compassion Christ offers me, the grace and mercy he grants to me, and the faith and hope I feel when I follow His example. Yes, I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I have participated in my church in many teaching capacities. I have taught the gospel to children and adults through giving lessons and by teaching songs. I am currently working with the young women in my ward and am grateful for the opportunity to get to know them through weekly activities as well as through annual events such as girls camp. I am also blessed to visit teach several women in my neighborhood; however, I have two older women who visit teach me and I am blessed by the wisdom and life experiences that they share with me. Living my faith guides my actions and my choices. It is incorporated into my goals and my hopes and dreams. It is my lifestyle. Although my actions may fall short of my expectations, like any goal, I am a better person for having tried to follow Jesus and I will continue to do so. Jesus Christ is my Savior and I know that He loves me.
