Hi I'm Cory

I'm a Mormon. I am a lawyer living and raising my family in Connecticut. I became converted through study, prayer, and practice.

About Me

I am a husband and father of five children. I am an in-house attorney for an international Fortune 50 company. I enjoy helping the business that I represent succeed and avoid legal difficulties. I enjoy working with people from various cultural backgrounds. Most of all, I enjoy spending time with my wife and family--working together, playing sports, hiking, fishing, and just having fun.

Why I am a Mormon

I like to do my homework, study issues, and make decisions for myself. I take a practical approach to religion and I believe that all religions teach truth that can help us in our lives. Having a closed mind is not the way to find truth or to understand this world and our place in it. I have discovered for myself the great blessings that come from living the Gospel of Jesus Christ as taught in the Bible, the Book of Mormon, and by the leaders of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. It makes sense. It is powerful. It works. Mormons are Christians. We believe that Jesus Christ not only taught us how to live and is our literal Savior and Redeemer, but we also believe that he loves all people everywhere and in every time. That is why the Book of Mormon is so important to us--it is a record of his dealings and visitation to the people of ancient America. He also loves us today and rather than leaving us to read only ancient scripture, he has called prophets in our day and has restored his church to the earth to guide us, strenghten us, and provide us with the saving ordinances that can only be received through his priesthood authority. Those who will take the time to really learn about the Mormons will find that for these reasons, we consider ourselves--and hope you will join us in being--the most zealous Christians in the world.

How I live my faith

I do my best to treat those around me with the respect, dignity, and love that Jesus showed us. I accept assignments in his church and do my best to perform those assignments in a way that will be pleasing to him. I try to help others learn about and receive the great blessings that I have received as a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Through this church we can find peace and we can find our way back. Through the priesthood authority in this church, we can be bound to our families not just for this life but forever. If everyone in the world had this perspective and blessing, the world would be so much closer to heaven. I am the Bishop of a local congregation of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I enjoy helping those in our congregation to find the strength and encouragement they need. I know the Lord helps me to accomplish his work.
