Hi I'm Gwen

I enjoy science (biology, geology, astronomy, physics), genealogy, and gardening. I love my family and the Lord. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love being with my family. We share many interests and have so many fun, good times together. My husband is my sweetheart and my children and grandchildren are my precious gems. Because of my interest in science, I have learned how important it is to keep our environment clean and healthy. I don't like toxins, pesticides, or pollution; they all harm my precious loved ones. I spent over 20 years as a computer programmer in my work, and after all that time looking at a screen I have learned to really appreciate nature and the relaxation it gives me. Searching out my family history has been exciting. I found that all of my ancestrial lines were faithful and stalwart pioneers who were converted to the Gospel of Jesus Christ and came West with the Saints to Utah. I especially enjoy genealogy because it opens doors to my ancestors' family members who did not have that privilege in their life. It's like finding a treasure when I find that person. Temple blessings are so wonderful!

Why I am a Mormon

I love our kind, all-wise, loving Father in Heaven and His Beloved Son and our Savior, Jesus Christ. I have received a deep, personal testimony of their love and care for us. I know that our Father in Heaven hears our prayers and blesses us in His wisdom according to our needs. I know within my very core that the Gospel is real and that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is God's organization on earth that affords the most and greatest blessings to His children. I know that Joseph Smith was His prophet to restore those blessings to the earth and that we have a living prophet today. I know that when I am obedient to the commandments I am filled with great joy and peace. It is so worth it!

How I live my faith

I love attending the Temple! The blessings received there cannot be had anywhere else on earth. I love reading the scriptures. I have received guidance, direction, peace, and testimony as I read them each day. I love doing genealogy and finding "treasures". I know and appreciate that service to my fellow being gives me great joy and satisfaction. One of the most effective ways I have served is to work on environmental cleanliness which has helped to keep people from getting cancer, lung and heart disease, reducing birth defects, and a host of other health problems. It has been a blessing to me as well. I love to share this wonderful Gospel with others and feel it is the best way to serve others.
