Hi I'm Matt

I'm father of 8 kids. I'm a cancer doctor. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am the father of 8 children, ages one to seventeen--four handsome boys and four beautiful girls. I have been married to the most wonderful woman in the world for almost two decades. I am a cancer doctor. I enjoy reading, running and playing the cello.

Why I am a Mormon

I inherited a great legacy of faith in the Lord Jesus Christ from my ancestors that has been a great strength to me throughout my life. I have chosen to continue the faith and membership in the Church of Jesus Christ becuase of the great joy it has brought me and my family. I love the scriptures that God has given us--both the Book of Mormon and Bible. I know that they teach us the right way to live. I love the what God has taught about how we should live our lives in accordance with the gospel--and that living God's commandments brings joy and peace. Throughout my life, but particularly as a parent, I have come to know the great blessing it is to have a living prophets to guide and direct us in the difficult world we live in. I have come to know through many personal experiences that God hears and answers prayers. He knows us individually and He loves us.

How I live my faith

I serve in the church as the Bishop of our congregation. This means I have a variety of responsibilities: working with our youth with i greatly enjoy. Planning and speaking at church meetings. I counsel individuals and families with struggles and hardships. I work with other leaders to plan uplifing activities for our families.
