Hi I'm Willie.

I'm a librarian. It's no surprise that I like to read, but I also like to exercise, cook, and play games. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have been married to my wonderful wife for more than twenty years now, and have two great sons, which are both adopted. My life revolves around my family. They are very special to me. Through the years I have held many odd jobs including landscaping, construction (briefly), and tour guide/translator, but after completing college I have made a career as an academic librarian, working mostly with students and faculty in science and technology. I love sports both watching and participating, but I don't have time to do much more than exercise now. I also enjoy reading and cooking.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in an active Mormon family. As a child I trusted in my parents faith, but as I have lived the gospel I developed a strong faith of my own. I know that the Book of Mormon is the word of God. It was written for us along with the Bible to help us understand God's will for us. I also know that Jesus Christ has again established his Church on earth today including prophets to lead us.

How I live my faith

Living the gospel of Jesus Christ is an active process. It includes attending church service on Sundays but also so much more. Prayer and scripture study provide daily nutrients in my spiritual diet. I often teach lessons at church, but the most important lessons I teach are to my own children. Every Monday evening we set aside time for a lesson and activity as a family. In everyday life I try to follow the example that Jesus set in his own life. He was kind to everyone and lived a life of service.
