Hi I'm Paul

I grew up in Arizona. I love motocross, Mexican food and my family. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born in Vancouver, British Columbia and raised in Chandler, Arizona. Between those two extremes, I have grown to love the desert as much as the mountains and sea. I served a mission in Western Australia and received my bachelor of science at Penn State University. I have a wonderful wife and five beautiful children. I am a partner at Reed Hill, a high-performance ad and branding agency in Denver and Phoenix. In my free time, I enjoy motocross, riding with the family, road trips and anything in the sun.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, but it wasn't until I was 18 that I found out what the church meant to me. Even though I had been taught about the need for a Savior and the love of a Heavenly Father, I hadn't really understood what that meant to me until my parents divorced when I was 16. I was in high school at the time, working a part time job. I found myself struggling to find answers about my life. Why my parents divorced. What I would do for a career when I graduated from high school. And, would I have a marriage that would last longer than my parents'. After two years of trying to find my way on my own, something happened. I woke up one morning realizing that I had never been more miserable in my life. I was unhappy and I was going nowhere. And to top it all off, my father's business failed and I was left wondering what I would do for work. It was a dark, lonely day. It was at this low point that I thought to myself, more than anything in the world I want to have a faithful, loyal wife that I can be with forever. I wanted to be a part of a family filled with love, support and companionship. And I didn't want any of it to end at death. It was then that I realized that I already had the answers. They were the things I had been taught in Sunday School, Scouts and all of the youth activities I had attended over the years. The answer was the Gospel of Jesus Christ in its fulness, the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. So, I decided that morning to do whatever it took to get my life in order and prepare for the day that I could take my beautiful bride to a Holy Temple to be sealed together forever. I changed began reading the scriptures and praying regularly. I began attending my Sunday meetings. And I prepared myself to server a two year mission. My life has never been the same since. It is better than I ever dreamed and I owe it all to a loving Heavenly Father and his Son Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

I live my faith today by first teaching my children. I do that with my lovely wife as we read from the Bible and The Book of Mormon each day. We also attend our church meetings on Sundays, where we can feel the Holy Spirit teach us -- and recharge us from the week's labors and stresses That, along with praying together as a family, does more for our happiness (and sanity) than anything else. We simply try to put ourselves in the best circumstances possible to feel the Savior's love. The more we feel that, the better we're able to cope with life's daily problems. There isn't a single aspect of our lives that aren't affected for good by living the Gospel. It makes all the difference in my family's lives. I can't imagine where we'd be without it. It is everything to us.
