Hi I'm Nate Billings

I'm a Mormon. I grew up in Rocklin California went to Rocklin High School and currently go to BYU.

About Me

My Name is Nate and I am a 22 year old college student that attends Brigham Young University. I grew up just east of Sacramento in Rocklin California. As a kid I often played outside football, basketball, hide and seek, home run derby, rugby, and pickle. My little neighborhood had a lot of kids in it my age and I was lucky to go to the same school with most of them. I eventually went through junior high and high school were I competed in soccer track and finally cross country. After high school I went to my first year at BYU and had an absolute awesome time; i later went on a mission to Columbia South Carolina and am now back in school. I know very much so where I want my life to go, but I do not yet know if its where I am meant to be.

Why I am a Mormon

I choose to be Mormon, because it is what keeps me at peace. When I was 15 I was very unhappy with life and didnt understand what others had that I didnt that caused them to be happy. I realized I needed to read the book of Mormon in order to ultimately find that happiness and when I did I found a sense of peace that I never felt before and continue to feel as I read the book of Mormon. I know that although there are 28000 other religions that profess to believe in Christ most if not all are based off the same exact King James Version of the Bible. The simple answer that God provided is another holy book, another witness, another testament of Jesus Christ called the Book of Mormon. Another book from God would make it easier to figure out which Church is true wouldn't it? THATS WHAT HE DID AND THAT'S WHY I AM A MORMON.

How I live my faith

I live my Faith by choosing to not drink, smoke, be immoral, or immodest, but by eagerly striving to excel and progress into becoming who God wants me to be; who I am meant to be... one of his sons

To what do you attribute the growth of the Church?

When the desire of an individual is to know what is true and what truly counts they find this church. Show more Show less

What is The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints' attitude regarding homosexuality and same sex marriage?

Nate Billings
I have a very strong opinion about this, but in its essence marriage was not an invention the government created and when the government changes its' definition it changes its purpose it changes our identity and changes the lives or at least the outlook and view of the American people. It changes its views from Our Purpose as God blessed Americans to Have a Family to question it's existence; and so in order to politely state what it is that I personally believe about the newly formed definition of marriage... it is the direct violation of the first amendment of the constitution of the United States... if you have questions let me know Show more Show less
