Hi I'm Heather Mae Taylor

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am 35 and recently remarried. To a wonderful man I may add. We now have 6 terrific children together. I have been a business owner and in the hair industry for 16 plus years. I am fortunate today to have a hair studio in my basement and do what I love and be home as well to be a mom, which is the hardest most rewarding thing I have ever done. I love to snow ski, water ski and be outdoors. Decorating is also something I enjoy. I love to design and Make a house a home. I do enjoy cooking however, baking I love even more. I am a sucker for chocolate chip cookies and a good sugar cookie. I am trying to learn to love to run. It's hard but I do feel so much better after a run or a workout for that matter. I also enjoy yard work. I find it therapeutic. I love bike rides with my family and family trips. I like to host parties and make new friends. Family is very important to me and I love them with all my heart. I am a wife, mother, friend, daughter, sister, niece, hair designer and I am a Mormon.

Why I am a Mormon

I was fortunate to have been born of goodly parents and raised in the Mormon Church. I dont have a huge conversion exciting story. I have had several experiences in my life that are near and dear to me that have testifed this church is true. I am Mormon because I have a testimony of my Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. I believe they are each seperate. I know that the Church of Jesus Christ was restored through Joseph Smith through God. I know Heavenly Father knows each of us by name. I know we have a living prophet that guides us in these days. I believe in the family unit. I stand by our family proclamation that says marriage is between a man and a women. I have felt the holy spirit testify to me this church is true. It has the priesthood and the right keys to have families be together forever by being sealed in on of the many beautiful temples. I love how the church has no paid clergy and how we are taught to serve and love our neighbor. I am Mormon because it gives me purpose and guidelines on how to live and it let's me know why I am here and where I am going. I am here to learn and be tested to choice the right and hopefully on day if I am worthy enough to return and live with my Heavenly Father. It's hard to put into words why I am Mormon ... Bottom line it's a feeling I get from the Holy Ghost when I listen to our leaders and personal experiences. I have had in my life many situations that remind me just how important my relationship with god is and this church gives me all I need.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by going to church on Sundays. I also live my faith by being a good christian all days of the week and not just Sunday. Keeping the sabbath day Holy. Praying often and giving thanks to my Father in Heaven. I work in the primary presidency, which allows me to be around 18 month children to the age of 12. I get to teach the children stories out of the Bible and Book of Mormon. I get to help them learn beautiful songs. I get to work with these innocent children and hear there sweet answers. I get to help the scouts and our activity days program. Activity days is for girl 8-12 they meet twice a month and work on learning about God and learning important skills to help them at their age. I love the little children. We are all gods children and he sent them to us to love and teach. I am blessed to work with such amazing little people and the leaders I work with. Most importantly I live my faith by treating everyone the way I want to be treated and serving all I can regardless of faith.
