Hi I'm RiAnne

I was born and raised in an LDS home in the wonderful state of Arizona. I am a college student, I love life, and I'm a Mormon:)

About Me

Hi, my name is RiAnne. I am a college student getting my generals done at a community college and heading up to the Utah Valley University this coming summer 2012. I am majoring in Deaf Studies and ASL and getting a minor in either Psychology or music studies. When I was eleven years old my Dad died unexpectedly while playing church basketball. Growing up it was my mom, my dad, my older brother Brock and me. My brother Brock and I are five and a half years about but we are extremely close; we're best friends. After my Dad died my Mom Brother and I decided to move so we did and a little while after that my brother got his mission call and served a full time mission in Hawaii. About a year ago my mom had the impression that she needed to get re-married so trusting in the Lord she did and I now have a step dad and five step siblings who are not LDS. It has been quite a challenge but we get through day to day teaching them and being an example to them. I am excited to go up to Utah for school and continue to be strong in with my belief's in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter day Saints. I love life. I play the Flute, the Piano, the Guitar and I sing. I love music. I enjoy cooking, shopping, hanging out with friends, going on dates, seeing movies, and reading the scriptures as well as the conference talks. I do have trials and challenges that come my way but I know that through Heavenly Father and my Savior Jesus Christ I can get through anything :)

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in an LDS home with my parents who love each other unconditionally, they never fought or were mean to each other they would have discussion but they always showed love. When my dad died when I was eleven it shook me and I knew I needed to figure out for myself if the church was true. Well I know with all of my heart that the Church Of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is the one and true church on this earth. My testimony gets stronger and stronger each day as I read the Book of Mormon and the bible and Pray to my Heavenly Father. I am a Mormon because I know it's true and I know I would not be where I am today with out this Gospel. I know that when I am doing everything I should be I am happy, Being LDS makes me happy. I am extremely excited to one day be sealed to a guy (my prince) for Time and all eternity in the Temple and be able to be with my family forever. I am looking forward to the day when I get to see my Dad again and I know I will be able to. I love the power of Family and I love the Gospel with all of my heart. I am a Mormon and I am proud to say so! :)

How I live my faith

I am a college student so I get the opportunity to attend what we call a Singles Ward. This means that the congregation of the ward is all young single adults from the ages of 18 to 30. In my ward I have a calling which is I am a member of the Activities committee. We always have something going on to hang out with people our age such as; ultimate frisbee, Volleyball, Game nights, Date nights, walking around the Temple, Hikes, cooking nights, movie nights and many more. We are always there to help each other with anything such as homework or life problems we might be facing. I love singles Ward we form a little family unity and we always have blast together. I try to live my life in such a way that I can make my Heavenly Father Proud of me. I try to always read the book of Mormon daily as well as pray to my Heavenly Father. I am grateful for the power of prayer and for everything that this gospel brings. I know that I can do better each day and I try to do so. :) Always be happy no matter what comes your way it is always easier to Trust in the Lord and be happy. Our Heavenly Father knows us each individually and loves us so so much! :)
