Hi I'm Sandra(Sandi) Davis Wilke

I'm a Mormon. I am a mother of six adult children and grandma to twenty -one grand kids. I've been divorced for twenty years.

About Me

I'm a grandma,I have been a custodian for 16 years, but I'm now semi-retired,working part time; I love to make greeting cards for my family and friends so they'll know how much they mean to me; I've never been to college, but have been a mom for 41 years. I love life and choose to be happy. My family means the world to me. They bring me great joy. After a divorce twenty years ago, I realized I could be a happy, productive person with out having a husband.I hope to be married someday, but if it doesn't happen, I will not be unhappy. I have faith the Heavenly Father knows me and has a plan for my life.Right now it doesn't include a husband. I currently serve in a student Stake with Young single adults. It is new to me,but I'm learning much and am being blessed to know these fine young people.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into a family with a non-member father, and member mother,so I went to church most of the time in my life. I don't ever remember a time when I didn't believe the Gospel was true. It has always made sense to me. I love going to church, singing hymns, studying in the classes and serving n various callings.. During very difficult times in my life,it has been the Gospel that has been able to help me through and the knowledge of a loving Heavenly father and my Savior,Jesus Christ, that keeps me going. I know that Joseph Smith was a true Prophet of God,and that he helped restore the Lord's true Church to the earth. The Holy ghost has borne witness of this to me many times.

How I live my faith

I have had various callings during my membership in the Church;I have taught children and young women groups and been a women's organization leader. I have also been a leader for the Single Adult group. I love being a visiting Teacher, too. Another sister and I go visit a few other ladies each month to bring a message of love and find out how they are doing. We can access needs and find ways to serve these sisters. You get to know them ;they become dear friends and add much richness to my life.
