Hi I'm Jeff

I grew up in Idaho. I am a competitive and performing jump roper, love singing, an avid scouter, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

my name is Jeffrey, i compete in the sport of jump rope. i have been involved with jump rope for many years and plan to continue for years to come. i am all for the BSA. for six years i have worked at a scout camp where i have held many different jobs. such as Shot gun and Rifle shooting merit badge instructor, Lifeguard, Area Director, and many others. not only do i love Jump rope and scouting, i also love to sing. i have been involved with many different vocal things and i love the joy i feel when i sing.

Why I am a Mormon

i was raised in the LDS church. I went to church on every Sunday with my family, even if we were on vacation. So from a very young age I knew of the gospel and its teachings. I always believed the church to be true but never really knew until i took the chance to read The Book of Mormon. As i would read, not only could tell a difference in my life but others could see it as well. I gained my own testimony, of the church and The Book of Mormon, after i finished reading The Book of Mormon. At the end, of the Book of Mormon, there is a promise that if we ask God in prayer to know of the truthfulness of what we had read that He will let us know. while I kneeled in prayer I had an overwhelming confirmation that Joseph Smith saw God and Jesus Christ. That the book of Mormon is true and that it is the most correct book of any on earth. that is why i am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

Each time I travel, if I know that I will be gone over night, I always try to make space for my scriptures. they don't always travel with me or get pulled out regularly but I know that if I ever have a rough time i can always go to my scriptures and they will help lift my spirit back up. Another way I live my faith is through service to others. Service is one of the greatest things anyone can be involved with. Not only do i teach kids to jump rope but also teach young men at a scout camp. for 6 summers I have worked at a camp teaching and serving others not only as a representative of BSA, the camp i worked for, but also my savior Jesus Christ. BSA teaches many Christ like attributes that are of great value to any young person growing up. Service is a key thing in my life for when we serve others we serve God also. I am currently taking two years of my life so that i can serve my God by going on a mission. The decision wasn't easy but it was the best choice for me to make. I continue to feel of my saviors love as I bring the joy of the gospel to others.
