Hi I'm Dustin

I grew up in Washington. I have 4 kids. I'm a software manager. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have 4 kids and a wonderful wife. I like to play board games. I enjoy racquetball.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into a Mormon family, and was raised in this church. I always enjoyed church, and the people I interacted with, but it wasn't until my late teens that I decided I really needed to know if it was the right church for me. I knew as I moved forward in life, I wouldn't be able to live based on my parents beliefs alone, I needed to know for myself. I started looking more critically at what I believed and why. I did a lot of studying, trying to understand the scriptures, the teachings of Jesus, and what they meant for how I needed to live my life moving forward. When it came down to it though, it was the way I felt when I prayed about the direction of my life that helped me realize that the teachings I had been learning was God's plan. I don't know exactly how my life would be different without the church, but I can say I love the life I have, and I know I'm on the path God intended for me.

How I live my faith

I participate as a leader of our men's organization. I enjoy interacting with other men who are going through the same challenges I'm going through - being a good father, husband, employee, contributor to society. There is something to be said for the wisdom of the masses, and we spend time each week discussing how the gospel of Jesus Christ helps us fulfill and enjoy or responsibilities.
