Hi I'm Carie

I'm a daughter, sister, wife, crunchy mom, friend, runner, singer, blogger, artist, and Mormon.

About Me

I am the wife of a kind, strong, and caring man. We were sealed in the Nauvoo, Ill, temple for time and eternity. I am the mother of four gorgeous daughters of God. I love to paint, draw, scrapbook, cross-stitch, cook, work out, run, swim, blog, read, play with my children, watch movies, sing, and more!

Why I am a Mormon

I had a rough childhood of fear and abuse, and it made me question my worth and place in this world. I was at a rough point in my life after I graduated High School. My best friend knew I needed something to help me understand who I am and my worth in Heavenly Father's eyes. I attended her church with her, loved the spirit I felt there, and decided to go again the next weekend. I decided to take the discussions from the missionaries and within a few weeks, I was baptized as a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. It was the single best decision I have ever made, other than saying "YES" to my husband when he proposed! I have had times of joy and times of sorrow since, especially when my Father disowned me for getting married in the temple. But through it all, I have remembered the worth I have in my Heavenly Father's eyes and felt his unconditional love for me. He has blessed me in so many ways. I have a wonderful husband and three gorgeous daughters. I owe all I have been blessed with on this earth, to my Heavenly Father. Were it not for the faith that my best friend had, I would not be here today.

How I live my faith

I pray, study the scriptures, keep the commandments (as best as I can), help others, and stay worthy. There are so many opportunities in my town to help others by preparing meals, helping with yard work, babysitting, etc. I was the Gospel Principles teacher at Church and it helped me to develop a Christ-like love for every son and daughter of our Heavenly Father. I am always willing to lend a hand to help those in need. I do this because, at times, I am the one in need. I feel that if I do my part in helping someone or a family to the best of my ability, someone will do the same for me and my family in our time of need! I try to set a good example of being a Latter-day Saint. I love the gospel. It changed my life and I know it's true.
