Hi I'm Maura

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm in advertising. I love to dance, play volleyball, and make videos.

Why I am a Mormon

I know that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is the true church on the earth today. I know this because I've prayed to God, our Heavenly Father, and asked Him. I think the most important thing to me is the knowledge that we are all children of our Heavenly Father and that He has a plan for us while we are here on earth. I know that Heavenly Father loves each and every one of us and wants us all to return to Him. He has also given us a way to do that and it is through His son, Jesus Christ. I know that Jesus Christ atoned for all of us and that if we turn to Him we will find peace and happiness in our lives. He lives! My family is so important to me and I'm grateful that through this church I know that we can be together forever. Heavenly Father's plan for His children is so beautiful and He wants each of us to be happy. I find strength in my family and our common belief in church. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is true. I know that Heavenly Father answers all our prayers and that there is happiness in keeping the commandments. I know that we have a living prophet on the earth today and that through Joseph Smith, Christ's church was restored. And because of this restoration we have the Book of Mormon. I know that this book is true and receive strength to do what is right from reading it. It truly is another testament of Jesus Christ and my testimony of the Savior has grown. I know that a person can truly become closer to God by reading it.

How I live my faith

I try and live my life in accordance with the Savior's teachings. I try and live life to it's fullest and find joy in the things I do. I know the church is true and I want those around me to have the same happiness I've experienced through following Christ's teachings.

Why is family so important to Mormons?

We know that families are ordained of God. He has given us families so that we can find happiness in our lives, so that we can grow, and so we can learn to love and care for one another. Heavenly Father has given us principles to live by that will strengthen our family relationships. When we serve and support one another our love for each other grows. Our home should be a place where a spirit of love and kindness can reside. We must remember that our family is a blessing from Heavenly Father and that we can be together forever. Through our families we begin to better understand God's plan for us on earth and the importance of our relationships with each other. I have found so much happiness in my family as we all work hard to love and support one another. I know that our families can be together forever. Show more Show less

How can we come to know our Father in Heaven?

Heavenly Father is literally the father of our spirits. He loves us and cares so much about His children. Like your parents here on earth, they like to hear from and talk with their children; so does Heavenly Father. We know that Heavenly Father listens and answers our prayers and through these conversations with Him we will come to know Him and His will for us. I've also come to know Heavenly Father better as I read from the scriptures and study words of His prophets daily. Show more Show less
