Hi I'm Crystal

I'm a mom, and a soon to be college graduate. I love music, dance and games. I love to cook and bake. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have been married to my wonderful husband for 3 years. We are parents to an 22 month old boy, who is the joy of our lives. We also have another baby on the way and we are thrilled! I love to bake unique cakes and decorate them, especially themed cakes. I am a Bachelor of the Arts in Vocal Music, with a focus in Human Development and Family Studies and I am going to graduate in May 2012. I play the violin, piano, organ, and I sing a lot. I am learning sign language as well and I love to teach my family different signs. I am open to learning new things and I enjoy learning about different cultures and countries.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up as a member of the church and always read The Book of Mormon with my family. I was taught about the church and it's history. When it came time for me to be baptized, I knew in my heart that it was the right thing to do, and I have never doubted my decision. Over the years since my baptism, I have read The Book of Mormon several times and have learned so much. Even though I have made mistakes, I have a true testimony of repentance and know that we will be forgiven for going through the proper steps to fix things. There is such a difference in how you feel when you are doing the right things. I believe in Jesus Christ and I know that He is my Savior; He died for me and suffered for my sins. I believe that Joseph Smith was a true prophet and that He did see The Father and The Son and was a true man of God. I believe that family is forever and that I will be with those who have passed before and I know that my family is sealed together forever. I believe in The Book of Mormon and everything that we can learn from reading it. I believe in the power of giving a full tithe and fast offering and how we can be blessed. I believe that as we live the Gospel, we will be blessed.

How I live my faith

I have served as a nursery worker and I am currently serving as Ward Organist. In both callings I have learned and grown immensely. I have always been a (self-proclaimed) mediocre pianist and since becoming ward organist, I can now play pieces that I previously could not play and my skills have grown more than I sometimes realize. I believe that callings are inspired and that they help us to grow, inspire others and ourselves.
