Hi I'm Marci

I worked my way through college as a fork-lift driver in a mine. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in a small town where I worked at a mine during my summer vacations to pay for college. I got my bachelor's degree and met my husband. We got married and moved to a busy city in the mid-west. Then, moved to a small farm where we raise chickens for fun and are learning about the food chain as most of our chickens get eaten by predators. We have 3 boys and another one on the way. They love to fight, run, jump, and get dirty and they have plenty of room to do it all! I spend most of my day cooking, sewing, reading, cleaning, organizing, and keeping the books for our small business. Most days are exausting, but completely fulfilling. I wouldn't have it any other way!

Why I am a Mormon

I have come to realize that there is a lot of suffering in the world today and there is a lot of uncertainty. For me, the gospel has given me a knowledge of who I really am, where I want my life to be heading, and helped me to deal with all of the trials and struggles along the way. I have found that when I ask God for help and do what He has asked me to do, the answers come. Many times not as I expected or when I expected. He loves me and has listened to me pour out my heart to Him, when no one else would listen- He has always been there for me.

How I live my faith

I teach the younger kids in our church about the Bible. They are so eager to learn and have already taught me so many things. They have a hunger for knowledge and I am so impressed by their strong morals. It gives me hope for the rising generation. I also visit some of the women from our congregation and we spend a lot of time talking and helping each other out with problems that come up. It is nice to have listening ears and friends that I can depend on.
