Hi I'm Karen Minnette

I'm a Mormon. I have lived in TX, UT, ID, CA, and NM. I am a school teacher. I enjoy music and dancing.

About Me

I grew up a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. My father's side has a long line of members. My mother was Baptist who was baptized at the age of 38. I am the mother of five children who have brought me much joy through the years, and trials, too. My husband is a pharmacist and he loves remodeling. I have been fortunate to live in several states and many of my friends are also members of the church. Some of my hobbies include: music, dance, sewing, reading, traveling, and visiting with friends and family.

Why I am a Mormon

Although I grew up a member of the church, I had to develop my own testimony. The gospel, to me, is logical, and its priinciples have helped guide me throughout my life. The teachings have helped me stay focused on trying to choose the right.

How I live my faith

As a member of the church, I have taught classes for young children and teenage young women. The most prominant calling I have had throughout my life as been as a pianist or organist. My mother taught me how to play the organ and I love how the organ sounds. I feel very lucky to have played the organ for so many years of my life. I enjoy attending church meetings on Sundays and also going to activities the church provides for children when my own were very small, the young men and women when my children were that age, and the different activities provided for the women of the church. I have learned so much from so many during my attendance to these programs. They have enriched my life greatly.
