Hi I'm Jose

I was born in El Salvador and grew up in Los Angeles, California. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have a wonderful wife and three beautiful children. I enjoy volleyball, basketball, reading and exercising. I'm a graduate MBA Operations Management student. Many of the things that I like to do involve my family as they are my inspiration and my life. I had the marvelous experience to travel to El Salvador recently and visiting my brother and his family, as well as my aunt, uncle and cousin. Being there reminded me of the great love that families share and that no matter how far apart distance wise you are, the family ties are forever strong.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a second generation member. My family met the missionaries and became membes of the church before I was born. While I had the opportunity to grow up in the church, I knew that I had to figure out on my own whether this was what I was supposed to do. In short, I kneeled down and prayed and received a strong confirmation that this was the right thing to do for me. I have many experiences that confirms this to me as the years go by. I know that Heavenly Father answers ours prayers as we seek him on a daily basis and he will never let us down. My family is very special to me and I know that we are here as a family unit for a reason. Many of the things that I have learned while growing up came from them. Being the last child of seven siblings, meant that I had older brothers and sisters that would take care of and look out for my well being. I'm very grateful for the example that they have been in my life as they have given of their time in service in many capacities, and the love that they give to their own families. Now that I have my own family, I want to provide the same things I had while growing up and much more. I want them to know that families can be together forever and that Jesus-Christ is our Savior and Redeemer.

How I live my faith

I'm involved witht the youth and with family history. I live my Faith one day at a time. As I think of the many things that need to be accomplished throughout the day, I seek my Heavenly Father's help and guidance. I know that only with his help I can accomplish those things that need to be done. I have the great opportunity to visit a wonderful elderly woman who has lived a long life and shares a lot of wit and wisdom. Although she cannot use her legs and is bedridden, she shows me how patience and waiting upon the Lord get her through each day. I hope that I can life each day to the best of my ability and help inspire those around me at work, home and at church.
