Hi I'm Rachael.

I'm a missionary. Singing and composing are two loves of mine. I also am active, creative, and crazy! and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My name is one of my favorite things....it's very long. Rachael Elizabeth are the first two names and made it hard to spell in Kindergarten. Also, I love to sing and write music and have a goal of writing a song for the Mormon Tabernacle Choir to sing one day. I'm serving a mission for the church in Ohio and have loved teaching people and seeing all the cultures found in little Ohio. I want to receive a Master's in Social Work when I return home. My goal is to work in communities, so I might go on to receive a law degree as well.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been a member of the church my whole life. The biggest teaching that I know is that Jesus is the Christ and did what He said He did. I know He is real and that He helps us in all we do. On my mission I have found so much power in my testimony of this gospel when there have been dark moments or when people don't choose to live based on His teachings. I have found that the only way to enduring happiness is by choosing God and His commandments.

How I live my faith

As I missionary, I go around for 18 months finding and teaching people about our beliefs. We teach friends of members and members who are not as involved any more. Our purpose is to invite people to gain a closer relationship with God by increasing their faith in Jesus Christ, repenting, and committing to live His gospel.

Who was Joseph Smith?

Rachael.
Joseph Smith is our prophet who chose to let God use him for the restoration of gospel principles and practices. He was only a young man when God and Jesus Christ appeared to him. I love him for the endurance he had and integrity to his calling. The best verse that describes him is in 2 Nephi 3:24..."an instrument in the hands of God, with exceeding faith...unto the bringing to pass much restoration unto the house of Israel."
