Hi I'm Kamla

I am a student, a sister, and a "Seattleite". I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am majoring in International Studies at Brigham Young University-Idaho and hope to one day work for the United States Department of State. I come from a family of five children and we are from Kent, Washington, which is just south of Seattle. I love to read and learn new things.

Why I am a Mormon

My parents are both Mormon, but being Mormon is my choice! I read the Book of Mormon seriously from cover to cover when I was eleven years old, and by the time I was finished, I knew that I could not deny the truthfulness of the book. When I live in harmony with the principles and ideas I learn in church, I feel the Spirit of God in my life.

How I live my faith

I am far from perfect, but I try really hard to be a good person. Attending church, reading from the Bible and the Book of Mormon, and praying to God are habits that help me to improve.

How can I know Mormonism is true?

The only people who say that the Book of Mormon is not true are the people who have not yet read it. The way to know if Mormanismis true is something that will not happen overnight, but you can know. Read the Book of Mormon, and pray to know if it is true. The answer will come. If you have never prayed before, there needs to be a first time for everything, so try it. It can be as simple as sitting quietly and thinking the words in your head. Show more Show less
