Hi I'm Carolyn

I'm a mother and a grandmother. I searched for the true church and found it in 1969. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I enjoy cooking and decorating my home (someone else has to clean it, though). I'm an avid hot air balloon collector. They give me a "high". I love working in the Temple in Columbia, South Carolina. I'm very good at aggravating people (a.k.a. very witty and funny). I looooove sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ with anyone who'll listen.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I asked God and he told me this church was true. I have found more peace in my life since I've been a member, and more direction and purpose. I've learned that trials are one of God's greatest blessings if we're patient enough to learn from them. Sometimes patience is definitely long-suffering, but is always rewarded. I know my Father in Heaven loves me and knows who I am.

How I live my faith

I faithfully attend church meetings and attend the Temple regularly. I serve at every opportunity. I teach the 7-year-olds in church all about Jesus Christ and his teachings. I'm a church ward librarian.

How can we increase our faith in Jesus Christ?

Living the gospel puts our faith to the test; a test that is rewarded by a testimony that continues to need spiritual food found in the scriptures and service to our fellowmen. If you have courage enough to put this to the test yourself you too will know the truth. How wonderful it is and what peace it brings. Show more Show less

Why don’t Mormons have paid clergy?

1 Peter 5:2-4 "Feed the flock of God which is among you . . . not for filthy lucre, but of a ready mind . . . . Being ensamples to the flock . . . . When the Chief Shepherd shall appear, ye shall receive a crown of glory that fadeth not away." (King James Version) Show more Show less
