Hi I'm mary

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a born again christian. I lived my life in christian ministry for over 35 years. still I continued to pray and ask God for a better understanding of His gospel truths. On the first Sunday of Jan. 2005, I was led by the Holy Spirit to the LDS church. In Feb. 2005, I was baptized along with my older brother and my nephew. We were all very excited about the restored gospel and became members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

Why I am a Mormon

All my life I have had the longing to truly know our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. At age 11 I begain to read the Holy Bible. For over 40 years I prayed, read and studied the standard scriptures. I even read scriptures from different religious faiths. I gain much knowledge and even though the Holy Spirit was always with me, from the scriptures that I had it seemed that I was ever seeking but never being able to come into the full knowledge of the gospel of Jesus Christ. One day as I was cleaniing my house I turned the TV on to keep me company. I heard a voice from the TV that said call the number and get the book. I immedately stopped and called the number when I recieved the book was afraid to read. In all my years of reading almost everything that looked like scripture. I wondered why am I afraid of this book? and I thought, I don't want to get caught up in some cult. As if I had not faced this enemy before and the Lord did protect me. I realized that the only thing to fear was fear itself. So I prayed and began to read. starting at the beginning, usually I skip that part but this time I did not. As I read the testimonies of the 3 and the 8 witnesses and of Joseph Smith In my heart I knew that these witnesses were true and this gave me the courage to began reading The Book of Mormon. Having read The Book of Mormon in it's entirety, I bare my testimony that it is true, that it is another testament of Jesus Christ and if anyone will pray and ask God to know of the truthfulness of it, God will answer that prayer and you will know the truth through a personal revelation of the Holy Spirit. I say this in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

How I live my faith

I love the restored gospel of Jesus Christ. I continue to pray and ponder the scriptures and to the best of my abilities, apply them to my every day life. I love to share in the teaching of the gospel of Jesus Christ and I love to bare my testimony of it's truthfulness. I love helping others in any way that I can.
