Hi I'm Adam

I'm married to the most wonderful woman, Laura. We have 4 oustanding children. I'm a self employed Accountant and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

After completing my bachelor of business degree in professional accounting, I qualifed to be a CPA and have worked as an accountant for the past 15 years. I am currently a partner in a small accounting practice in Brisbane. My wife is a lawyer and runs her own legal practice. My wife and I have a daughter and 3 sons and love to go camping as a family. We also love going snow skiing as a family. Growing up, I loved swimming, surfing, playing basketball and rugby league. While I still like watching Queensland win in the State of Origin, my sons and I are all soccer fanatics now. We play soccer and love to watch the Roar win at Suncorp Stadium.

Why I am a Mormon

I know that this is the true church of Jesus Christ. I was brought up in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. As a boy growing up, the gospel just made sense to me. I have made my fair share of mistakes in life and from my own experience, I have learned that when I don't follow the teachings of the Saviour, life becomes more difficult and I am not happy. I have also found that by doing my best to always follow the Saviour, l am happier, and life is so much easier and sweeter. I am greatful for the church in my life because it has shown me how to live a better life. While I am still not perfect and I still have challenges and difficulties in life to overcome, I know that with the Lord's help and by following Him I will be able to overcome anything. My life is great! and I want to keep improving and becoming more like my Saviour, because I know that as I do, life just keeps getting better! I also know that Jesus Christ has already paid the price for my life's mistakes and that, if I follow Him, I will be forgiven, as I try to make them right. I look forward to returning to my Father in Heaven one day and obtaining eternal life together with my family.

How I live my faith

I try to be a good example to my family and everyone around me. We have family prayer together every day and set aside every Monday night to be together as a family for "Family Home Evening." I love reading the scriptures every day and learning more about God and his plan for me. I love bringing my family to church every Sunday. I currently serve as the Bishop in my ward. As Bishop I preside at our ward's Sunday meetings and am responsible for the physical and spritual welfare of every person who lives in our ward boundary. I coordinate the efforts of all our ward members to help those in need. It feels great to serve others and help them to overcome life's problems. I want everyone to know what I know and to have what I have.
