Hi I'm Lawrence Michaelson

I'm a father, a husband, a simple man. And... I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love the warmth of the sun, especially when feeling cold. I am married to a beautiful woman (inside and out) and blessed with four lovely children (soon to be five). I work as a physical therapist in a small city in Arizona, United States.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born in to a family of Mormons. As I have grown I have prayed and asked Heavenly Father (God) if the things I have been taught are true. I have learned for myself, through study and the inspiration of the Spirit, that the teachings of this church and The Book of Mormon are true. My prayers have been answered by a loving Heavenly Father. And that is why I am still a "Mormon" (a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints).

How I live my faith

I live my faith by trying to live a more Christlike life...Being a kinder father, a more understanding husband, a caring clinician, and an honest employee. I go to church each week, read my scriptures (the word of God), and pray regularly. I feel we are all brothers and sisters with a loving Heavenly Father (God). I strive to watch over people in our church and assist them as needed. I teach people in a sunday school class called Gospel Principles. It is for people who want to learn more about the church, people who have recently become members of the church, or anyone who wants to learn the basic teachings of Jesus Christ. I also strive to be a good neighbor and help people in need, such as someone with a flat tire on the side of the road. Overall, my commitment is to Jesus Christ and striving to do his will.

Why are Mormons asked to donate 10% of their income to their Church?

Lawrence Michaelson
It's an ancient law that still exists today. Heavenly Father has given us everything we have and he asks for only 10% of my income to build and maintain buildings that my family and I use on a regular basis and to further His work on the earth. I donate 10% because I have been asked and I have seen the blessings that come from doing so. Show more Show less
