Hi I'm Nate

I grew up in Kaysville Utah, I loved my mission in Alberta, Canada, I enjoy athletics, I love my family and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I absolutley love the mountains, to me there is nothing like a hiking through the mountains and being able to calm my self from my fast-paced world, and ponder on the things that matter most. I served in the Canada Edmonton area as a missionary and loved it. I especially loved the people, and truly found who I was as I served them. I also learned that it is by finding joy in the journey that we find happiness. There will always be a hurdle to clear but that doesn't mean that we have to be unhappy. I am one who yearns to be around the people I love to share with them my successes and to share their successes. I love almost anything athletic and feeling the adrenaline rush that comes with it. Right now I am working and saving up for college in the fall. I am a University of Utah Ute, and a proud supporter of their athletic programs. I enjoy road biking and basketball, I love to ski and I am a Mormon.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been able to observe that happiness comes through living the teachings that Jesus Christ has given us. I also know that happiness comes through that because I have felt it. I absolutley love the Book of Mormon. When I was 14 I had a sincere desire to know if it was true and decided that I would read it. I loved it! I could not get enough of it. At the conclusion of the book I kneeled down and asked my Heavenly Father if what I read was true. I had the greatest feeling come over me as the Holy Ghost confirmed to my heart that it was true. I then decided that I would let nothing stop me from sharing this as a missionary. I wanted them to know about this and for their faith to be strengthened in Christ. As I served as a missionary five years later I was able to live and teach those truths I held so dear. My perspectives changed and I found great joy in focusing on those things which are most important in life. Including serving those around us. At times it was very difficult to be a missionary but as I focused my attention on helping others with their struggles a new light came into my life. I was more grateful and happy, and my burdens seemed lighter. I know that God answers prayers because He as so often answered mine and has brought comfort to my soul. I know He loves us and if we believe in Him we can assuredley hope for a better world.

How I live my faith

I want to do all I can to serve God's childeren and do what he asks of me. I will try my best to live what Christ taught and live as one who would be a good example of the believers.

Why was a Restoration of the Gospel needed? Haven’t we always had the Bible?

Nate
Although the Bible is an irreplacable resource for learning the teachings of Christ it is not all that is required to have the true church of Christ. The restoration of Christ's church did a number of things, three of which being, it restored gospel truths that were lost or debated about. It brought back the authority of God given to men on earth called priesthood, which allows us to return to God by performing ordinances like baptism correctly. And a modern day prophet was called, who is likened to the watchman on the tower. He forsees and warns us of danger, by relaying messages from God to us. Show more Show less
