Hi I'm Harvey

I'm an investor. I love to play basketball. I coach youth soccer. And, I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I married and baptized my high school sweetheart and she is now my eternal companion and a blessing beyond belief. My five children are caring, giving people who I admire. I am an investor and have the blessing of working from home. Our list of grandchildren continues to grow (yeah!) and includes four granddaughters and one grandson. I actually like to mow the lawn, good think time. I love to play basketball and help my eldest son coach my granddaughter's soccer team. I love the Lord and love serving others.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm Mormon because I believe the church contains the fulness of Christ's gospel. I was blessed with good parents who raised me in the church and I will be eternally grateful for this. But like everyone, I had to come to my own knowledge of the truthfulness. It really hit me when I married my high school sweetheart. Everything that I had been learning came to life and made sense. I love the Plan of Salvation, God's plan of progress for his children. We aren't here by chance. There is an eternal plan that provides a way for us to live again with our Eternal Father in Heaven. The plan is all about love. God's and Jesus Christ's love for each of us. The atonement is real and has real force in our lives if we seek it and allow it. I am not perfect, but with Christ I can be. Being Mormon brings perspective to my life and It makes me happy.

How I live my faith

I try to emulate Christ by loving and serving others. Sometimes it's lending an ear, sometimes it means putting my back in peril helping a family load or unload their moving truck, and sometimes it is just helping clean-up the yard of an elderly single friend. I try to stretch myself in my church responsibilities by doing more or doing it better than I did before. I try to respect others and be kind to all. I try to continually learn more about Christ and his teachings in hopes of making those teachings a part of the way I lead my life.
