Hi I'm Jace

I'm a husband and a father. I'm a UI/UX designer/developer. I like to skateboard & snowboard. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am happily married to my beautiful wife and a soon-to-be father of two. My wife and I have an 18 month little princess and a mystery on the way. I have many hobbies and interests. I have spent many year grinding pavement on a skateboard and shredding the mountains on a snowboard. When I can find the time, I love the play the guitar and write music or just sing my favorite acoustic songs with my wife. It seems the only hobby I really have time for these days is writing code, and I spend the majority of my day doing just that. I am incredibly busy. I have a B.A. in Graphic Design from the Art Institute of Colorado. I work full-time as a UI/UX Designer & Developer at a social integration/software development company. I love my job. I also do contract work on the side (mostly web design and development). I love to spend my evenings playing with my little girl and then watching whatever newest TV series we are into, with my wife. I look forward to finishing school and having more time to spend with my family.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in an LDS home. My family has always been active in the church and I feel like it has played a crucial role in building the strong relationships we have with each other. Being a Mormon in high school was difficult. I had a hard time figuring out who I was and what I wanted. I made some stupid teenage mistakes but learned from them and got through it. After high school I met my wife. She made me want to be better. She helped me to figure out what I wanted—which was to raise a family similar to the one I grew up with. I decided to focus on becoming a truly active member of the church and to live the gospel principles and standards. I also decide to serve a full-time, two year mission for the church. I served a spanish speaking mission in Milwaukee, WI. The mission was one of the hardest and greatest things I have ever done in my life. I was able to spend all my time serving others and preaching the gospel. This experience has had a huge impact on my life. When I returned home I married Lindsey 3 months later, in the Denver, CO temple. Living the gospel makes me happy. Through the atonement of Jesus Christ I can overcome challenges and grow to become more like my Savior.

How I live my faith

Being a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints brings lots of opportunities to serve. For the past 3 years I have served in leadership positions of the young men in my wards. I have loved being able to hang out with the youth—going on camping trips, shooting airsoft guns, boating, skateboarding, snowboarding, recording music, playing video games, building stuff etc. I also enjoy teaching them, learning from them and counseling with them. I serve as a home-teacher and visit a couple of families in my ward each month. I love to serve and have been so blessed in my callings.
