Hi I'm David

I love Life, Sports, family, friends, and to dream about things I can accomplish. I am who I want to be! I'm a Mormon!

About Me

I grew up in the great State of Utah and am Proud of it. I am a huge Utah Jazz fan and will never turn my back on them. I am from a wonderful family of 7, in which I am the oldest of 5 kids. Unlike some people I have enjoyed being the oldest. I have loved the opportunity to watch my younger siblings learn and grow. It’s been an honor and a humbling experience to be the example for them.... although it always seems that I learn more from them then, they do from me. I play pretty much any sport. Basketball would definitely be my favorite, but I will pretty much try anything. I play Basketball, Football, and Soccer the most. I also BOWL!!! I love to go bowling whenever I have the free time (and the money...) to do so. When I am not playing a sport or going bowling, then I can usually be found with my friends (bowling, playing Ping Pong, or just relaxing watching a movie or the Jazz play) if you can’t find me there, then I am with my family. My family & friends mean the world to me and I would do anything for them. They have been the greatest people in my life and I am so happy to have them.

Why I am a Mormon

When people ask me this, I tend to ask them "Why not? I enjoy being a Mormon." However, there are a number of reasons why I am a Mormon. But I will just share two with you for now. Reason #1: Because I grew up in the church. Now some of you may say that is not a good enough reason. However I think it is. I grew up in the church and have never found anything wrong with it. All the teachings and things I have learned in my life have only led me in the right direction. As I have followed the teachings and the lessons given to me, I have only seen blessings come from it. Of course it is not always easy but the blessings are worth all the troubles, trials, and struggles I go through. Reason #2: Because like everyone else I had to pray to know if this really was the True Gospel of Jesus Christ once again established on the Earth. Though I grew up in the church and found nothing wrong with it as I said before, I still wanted to know and make sure that this really was the right church on the Earth. I always heard everyone else sharing their beliefs and how they knew it was true and I wanted to be able to do the same. One week when I was really struggling and having a hard time. I did exactly what God asks us to do. I prayed with all my heart to know whether the church was true or not, and whether Joseph Smith was a Prophet and if the Book of Mormon was Holy Scripture from God translated by his power for us today. Now the answer did not come immediately. It came a couple nights later when I was lying in bed thinking about the Gospel and what it meant to me. While I was laying there I had such a strong feeling of Peace, Comfort and the Knowledge that it was true come over me. I knew it was all true and that I was doing the right thing with my life and that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints was and is the true church of God once again established on the Earth.

How I live my faith

Right now I am living my Faith by serving a 2 year mission for the church in the Connecticut, Hartford/ Boston, Massachusetts Mission. Back home I always try to constantly be watching out for ways that I can serve others and help bring people closer to Jesus Christ. I am always looking for ways to help people feel included and loved and to make sure that they are happy in all that they do. I try to be as Christ like as I can in all aspects of my life. Plus I always try to find the positive in my life so I can keep a smile on my face. Because you never know what a Smile can do for someone else. :)
