Hi I'm Rod

Retired after 37 yrs. with a global logistics & transportation company. My wife and I spend winters in Ariz. and summers in Utah.

About Me

I am a retired transportation manager and father of four children and grandfather of nine. My wife and I enjoy the mountains, hiking, fishing and spending time with our children and grandchildren. I've hiked the Grand Canyon several times and enjoy the challenge, beauty and solitude. I'm a convert to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and have found great joy in learning about and gaining a relationship with my Father in Heaven and His son, Jesus Christ. My sweetheart and I will soon be serving as senior missionaries in Nauvoo, ILL.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I wanted a better quality of life than I knew as a youth. Don't get me wrong, my parents were good people who provided a good home and a safe haven for me in my youth. But, I always knew in my heart there was something better! I found that better life when the missionaries explained my spiritual origins, mortal possibilities and the potential relationships I could discover with Heavenly Father his son Jesus Christ and the Holy Ghost. I love the new and improved life I have found in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

How I live my faith

Service has brought such a broader perspective and loving mercies into my life. Whether teaching a class, working with an individual or administrating in ward or stake counsels I have been blessed through associations and stretching to progress and improve.
