Hi I'm Jannalee

I am a mother who loves to sew, bake and create. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a wife and mother of seven children; one son and six daughters. I love that each child is different from their siblings and they all have special talents and abilities to share. My husband has a good job which allows me to be a stay at home mom. I feel like my life is super busy but I see the women around me and they are just as busy. I have a bachelors degree in psychology which sometimes comes in handy when teaching my children. I spend my days driving to piano lessons, watching tumbling class, volunteering at school, folding laundry, washing dishes, cooking enough food to feed a small army and enjoying all the little moments that make our lives rich and full. At the same time I struggle with impatience and frustration at the challenges that come up on a daily basis. I enjoy making anything from cupcakes to quilts and the creative outlet that they provide. I also enjoy sharing these activities with my children. One of my favorite things to do is watch one of my children develop their talents. Listening to them play the piano or perform in a ballet recital is a definite highlight. Watching them learn patience or charity or compassion is even more rewarding.

Why I am a Mormon

My parents were converts to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints when they were teenagers so I was born into a family where the Gospel of Jesus Christ was taught and lived. I appreciate that my parents had faith enough to teach and nurture their 11 children. I developed that faith as well. I learned to appreciate and love Jesus Christ as my Savior. I know for myself that His true gospel has been restored on the earth today and I am grateful to be a member. I recognize the counsel that comes from living prophets and apostles as coming directly from God. I know that Jesus Christ is the head of His church today. I know that our Heavenly Father loves each of his children and wants each to be happy and successful (I tell my own children the same thing). I currently serve with the primary children of my ward and find so much joy and hope for our future as I see the light of testimony growing in them. I

How I live my faith

I like to participate in the activities that my children participate in. I help in their school classes, when they perform in school plays and in church as well. I currently work with the children in my ward aged 18 months to 11 years. I love to see their strength and abilities. They will be our future leaders and they will be ready. I love to see the light of testimony in their eyes. They know that they have a Heavenly Father and that they should strive to be like Jesus Christ. I also enjoy visiting and getting to know the other women in my neighborhood. It is amazing how much we are alike in what we feel and what we want for our children.
