Hi I'm Sammy

I'm a tap dancer, a scientist, a missionary, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am 20 years old, and finished my first year of college in last April. I'm studying microbiology and I hope to become a research scientist someday. But in the meantime I'm taking 18 months off of school to serve as a full-time missionary in the Oakland/San Francisco California Mission. I love animals, dancing (especially tap dancing), going shopping with my mom, and spending time with friends.

Why I am a Mormon

I continue to follow the precepts of the gospel of Jesus Christ because I have seen how obedience to God's commandments can affect my life. When I say and do things that are Christ-like I feel joy and know that I am exactly where God wants me to be, and that it a comfort to me. I know that I can pray to my Heavenly Father and find answers to my fears and doubts; our Heavenly Father loves each and every one of us individually, he knows us intimately and wants us to learn and grow, and be happy. I love my Savior Jesus Christ, for it is through his infinite atonement for our sins that we can repent become better people in this life. I am a Mormon because I know this church to be true and I know that my continued obedience to the gospel with bless my life.

How I live my faith

I currently serve as a full-time missionary in the Bay Area, as well as additionally serving in the Oakland Temple Visitors' Center, come check it out sometime! The Gospel of Jesus Christ has brought so much joy and peace to my life, and I'm so grateful for this opportunity to share it with others.
