Hi I'm Cory Hatch

I'm a Registered Nurse in Las Vegas, Nevada. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

As a young kid, I suffered a major head injury requiring brain surgery that nearly took my life. I was blessed to survive and now I get to share each day with a beautiful wife and two beautiful little girls. I make sure that we all share each day as if it may be the last. They supported me through college, where I earned a Bachelor's Degree in Nursing, and now I get to return the tender loving care that I received as a child to others in need.

Why I am a Mormon

A favorite church Hymn of mine states "because I have been given much, I too must give." As a young boy, I suffered a major head injury that required emergent brain surgery. I don't know if there was any specific reason why I was spared from the injury I occurred, but I did and without any negative side effects. I feel that because I received a blessing from my Heavenly Father to be able to stay on this earth, that I must find out what he has in store for me. I have found that answer, and it comes from following the teachings of His Son Jesus Christ. I have also found that I can strengthen my testimony of Jesus Christ by following the teachings of the prophets for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and by studying the teachings of the Book of Mormon and The Holy Bible. I was given much and now I too must give.

How I live my faith

It's a daily task, and something that I have to work on. I start first by trying to better myself by participating in daily prayer with my Heavenly Father. I also try and make sure I am reading the scriptures as often as my schedule permits. Then, I work with my wife on teaching our little girls the gospel, both by action and by family home evening lessons. Each week I get to teach the 16-17 young men and women, who normally end up teaching me more. At work, I live my faith through example. I feel that being a Nurse, I am allowed to show compassion to the sick and hope that I do so in the example that Christ would have done himself.
