Hi I'm Josh

I'm an artist. I'm a husband. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I've been married for a little over two years. I'm a student in a university Illustration program and am still trying to figure out exactly what I want to do for a career. I like board games, comic books, movies, eating/cooking food, being outside and spending time with my family.

Why I am a Mormon

As I am "growing up" and feeling the heavy responsibilities that go with that, I feel the need to rely on Jesus Christ more and more. I feel closer to Christ as I read the scriptures, pray and follow the council given from the prophet and his counselors. The knowledge of Christ calling prophets again in our day gives me peace and lets me know that He will never leave me to alone to flounder (whether with His doctrines on a worldwide level or little personal, potentially scary things (like the responsibilities mentioned above).

How I live my faith

I make sure the everything is ready for the sacrament (communion) each Sunday.

Do you really believe there is a prophet like Moses alive today?

Yes I do! When Pres. Thomas S. Monson was called to be the prophet I prayed to God and asked him if Pres. Monson was His prophet. A little while later I was able to hear him speak. The Holy Spirit came into my heart and confirmed to me that Pres. Monson is God's prophet on earth today! I felt the sweet feelings of peace, joy and assurance (Gal. 5). God heard my prayer when I prayed, but it took a little while until I was given an answer. I know that God hears our prayers and answers them in His own time, that He loves us (His children) and that because He loves us He has called a prophet again today! Show more Show less
