Hi I'm Trevor

I love quoting movies, I enjoy basketball and baseball, I grow mullets from time to time, I love me some Red Robin & I'm a Mormon

About Me

I grew up in Delta, Utah. I was born into a great family in a great community. My Dad is the coolest guy in the world and my Mom is a true saint. I have three brothers. We are all close together in age and we make up a pretty rough crew. We know nothing of sisters in this family. I love to watch UFC fights, Oakland Raiders games, and America's funniest home videos with my Dad. I really enjoy the outdoors and I would just live at Lake Powell if i could. I love the summer and everything that goes with it. I believe strongly in having gratitude and i make sure to thank my Father in Heaven for my many blessings. In my growing up years living at home, all my brothers and I have been heavily involved in sports. Every day we're hustlin'! Football, Wrestling, Church Ball, BASEBALL, and an occasional bull ride for one of the more intense of all of us. I love to play pick up games of basketball anywhere i can get my feet on a court. I ball HARD! I am very competitive. It doesn't matter if its a game of ball, a quick round of Apples to Apples, or a grueling game of Monopoly. I LIVE for competition. I am a big fan of Rap and Hip Hop. I like Em, Weezy, Dr. Dre- "y'all know me!", Eazy-E, Run-DMC, i have a celebrity crush on Rihanna and i love to listen to the Eagles on relaxed days. I'm an avid Utah Jazz fan and i dream about being able to step back up on a pitcher's mound again and do work after i am done with my mission. Basically put, I got 99 problems, lovin" life Aint one HIT ME!-

Why I am a Mormon

My reasons for being a Member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints run vast and deep. The way that i started out is that i was lucky enough to be born to parents that were already very active and involved in the church. My dad served a mission when he was my age and taught me the importance of living how Jesus Christ commanded us to live. I had great youth leaders in church all through my younger years that helped me learn and grow. And most of my friends were members too. So i had many good examples all around me that influenced me for the best. As i have come to know while on my mission, every person that is a member of this church has a reason or a story for them to be here. Everyone has their own "Personal Conversion Story." Whether they are converts to the church or life-long members, Everyone has to find out for themselves and know that it is the truth. I didn't see any visions, have any lightning strike "now I know!" experiences, or anything elaborate like that. My growing testimony of this great church has come from small and simple things like putting the commandments and promises given to us through the scriptures to the test for myself in my own life. I know and understand that everyone has their challenges. I sure had my fair share of them before I was a missionary. It seemed like I had a huge mountain of changes to make before I could be a missionary, but i found out What doesn't kill you can only make you stronger. I was far from perfect; but through changing my attitude and living like I know Jesus Christ wants me to live, I saw an unmistakable difference in my life. I have heard it explained like this: "The truth is, Those who diligently seek to learn of Christ eventually will come to know him" -President Deiter F. Uchtdorf- It took me some time but now i feel confident enough to say that i will be here for the rest of my days on this Earth. I am proud to be a Mormon. A member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints!

How I live my faith

I live my faith right now by representing Jesus Christ as a missionary from His church. I spend my days teaching, strengthening, and serving those who are looking to learn more about Him. I firmly believe that in a teaching situation, the teacher learns more than the student. So my understanding of the Savior has grown tremendously through my church service. Which helps me tons to understand and live the teachings of our Savoir Jesus Christ I live this way because I love Jesus Christ, I know He is there and that He loves me. I love His Church. I have a personal testimony which is an inner assurance and solid foundation to which all my beliefs and actions stem from. I believe that this is the real deal. To put it simply, there is something different about this church. Thinking back through my life up to this point, I remember all the fun times that I have had, the countless good experiences that I cherish, and the variety emotions that I have felt. The difference between the "fun times" and how I have felt as I have been actively involved in this church is night and day. I have never been able to re-create or match the pure joy that I feel through living my faith with any other actvity. No matter what the experience. No matter where I am or who I am with. Nothing can measure up to feeling "The Love of God" in my heart. That is proof enough to me that this is Christ's true church once again established on the earth and that I am involved in it with full force.

What are some things that tell you there is a God?

Take a step away from your busy day to day activities to walk outside and open your eyes. Look at the trees. Feel the breeze. Take a breath of air and consider the complexity of all that is around you. Find a good spot at night, throw out a blanket, and look up at all the stars. God created this world and all that is in it for US. Isn't that fascinating? I don't think that everything just happened to line up right now at this point and time by chance. God is over all.
