Hi I'm Andrew

I grew up in Colorado, I love the mountains and the outdoors. I love everything about music and performing and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in Colorado and have always enjoyed the outdoors. I was never the best at sports but always loved to play as many sports as I can. I absolutely love rollarblading and ice skating. Growing up I had the dream to join the Olympic team as a speed skater but to do that I had to leave my family. It was a hard desicion and I decided to stay with my family and I am greatful that I did. I love music and performing. I had the opportunity to be a part of many different musicals and performance groups like that have always been a blast and wouldn't trade then for anything. I love to make people smile whenever someone else smiles it makes me smile. I know that life is meant for us to smile.

Why I am a Mormon

I love music and how you can really feel something that words cannot describe. I grew up a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints but it never meant anything to me. I went to church every Sunday because that is just what we did. I guess you can say that I was just going through the motions and not really understanding why I did what I did. During my high school years I didn't know what to do. I didn't know if this church was true and if it is where I belong. I was hanging on the fence unsure about which side to fall off. Until one day at church. I wasn't really paying attention to the sunday school discussion so I randomly opened my hymn book because I love music and I turned to a random page and started singing the song in my head. The song was "I Believe in Christ". And I remember just this overwhelming feeling of love come over me. Never have I felt so loved. I was so overcome I couldn't stop the tears that came. I know its hard to understand the feelings that I had because I can't find words to describe what I felt. But oh did I learn something that day! I learned that I do believe in Christ and that I am supposed to be here in this church and I learned that this is the true Church of Jesus Christ and that all has been restored through a prophet. I may not remember the lesson that was given that day and many might say that I never had that feeling of love so powerfully but I know what I felt was from God and no one can take that knowledge away from me.

How I live my faith

Currently I am on a 2 year volunteer mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and I go around talking and sharing my testimony with those who listen and I help them increase their faith in Jesus Christ as they develope their own testimony throught reading the Book of Mormon praying to their Father in Heaven to know if what the missionaries teach is true. And as I go about doing this full time I always look for opportunities to share my talents that my Father in Heaven has given me. I find no more satisfaction than helping and seeing others come unto Christ. And when I finish my 2 year volunteer mission, I will go back home and go to school to study music and the performing arts and I will continue to study the scriptures and share my testimony with others to help lift and inspire those around me to do good.
