Hi I'm Taylor aka BigRed

I love to play music. I am currently in the South. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love to play music. I play piano, guitar, harmonica, and I sing. It is something that I think I have always loved to do. Playing music in front of a crowd is something I love to do. I also love to listen to music. One of my favorite bands is A Day To Remember! A few others are All Time Low, Dashboard Confessional, any band with a double bass, or some awesome acoustic guitar! I love to ride my long board! Swimming is way awesome to! But for the most part, give me a guitar, and a campfire with a group of friends, and I can have a blast!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know that it is only through the this way, His way that we can be forgiven of our sins. When I truly had to access the Atonement of Jesus Christ and apply it in my life, I knew the church was true. There have been times in my life, when I really didn't know what to do. My parents were divorced, and I felt very alone. If it were not for the people in the church, my friends, I would not be who I am today. They picked me up when I was down, raised me up to my full potential. If the church had not been restored through the Prophet Joseph Smith, that wouldn't have been possible, and they would not have been in my life. But because it was, I am here today, and eternally grateful. I know that the Book of Mormon is true. I have read it several times. I know that our families can be together forever. I love my family so much. I know that no matter what our needs or concerns may be, the Savior and His teachings, the gospel, will help us. I am Mormon because I know this is the only true, and living church here on the earth, prepatory to the second coming of the Holy Messiah.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by loving everyone. A lot of people think that you can limit how much love you give to others, but I can tell you this much, the Savior said, "¶Ye have heard that it hath been said, Thou shalt love thy neighbour, and hate thine enemy. But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you; That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust." (Matthew 5:43-45). I know that this is absolutely true, and just as Jesus Christ did, we must love everyone. So that is what I try to do my best with. I love and serve those that stand in need. When we love others, all the other basic principles of the gospel we begin to understand, and becoming more like Christ comes naturally. I know this is true, and this is how I live my faith.

What is the Word of Wisdom that Mormons talk about?

Taylor aka BigRed
The Word of Wisdom is a basically a health code given to us from our Father in Heaven. What it basically asks us to do is to stay away from alcohol, coffee, any form of tabacco, tea, and illegal drugs. It also asks us to eat healthy. If we do this, we are promised that we will recieve health, and spiritual protection. It is definitely something worth following. Show more Show less

Are Mormons Christians?

Taylor aka BigRed
Yes, we are Christian. The proper name of the church is The Church Of Jesus Christ Of Latter Day Saints. We believe in Christ and we believe that he is. We believe that it is only in and through His infinite and eternal sacrifice that we shall be saved. Throughout all of the Book of Mormon we can read about how important Jesus Christ is to us. Check out 2 Nephi 25:26. We are definitely Christian and gracious followers of our Savior. Show more Show less

Why is family so important to Mormons?

Taylor aka BigRed
Family is so important to us as members of the church for many reasons. One of the main reasons to me, is because we believe that with our families we can return to live with our Father in Heaven. Here on earth we can learn and grow individually, or collectively as a family unit. It is much easier and far more appealing to me to live and progress with my family. Now in this life, and in the eternal life to come. I can not think of anything more satisfying then knowing that one day, if I am righteous, I can be with the love of my life forever. Wouldn't you agree? That is why family is so important to me as a member of this true and living church. Show more Show less
