Hi I'm Chris

I grew up in California, Joined the Navy seen the world, I'm in construction now, a husband, a father of one, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I enjoy building things and cooking good food. I received my Bachelor of Science in Construction Management and now going for my Masters in Business Administration. I am married with one teenage daughter. I work for a nationwide construction company that specializes in gas pipeline. I spent ten and a half years in the United States Navy as a Boatswain mate. When I retired I started painting for a living, this led me to get more into construction. I eventually started my construction company, specializing in insurance restoration work and tenant improvements. I love construction it is my hobby and my job, I am lucky. My wife is supportive of my choices in going back to school to get my degrees. We both work fulltime and spend all the time we can as a family.

Why I am a Mormon

I joined the church after getting out of the navy; I was trying to get sober and could not. The biggest bloc for me was religion I had a hard time with believing in God or a higher power to turn my will over to. This lead me to search for answers everywhere I could, my mom had the missionaries over for diner all the time. This led me to ask for them questions they answered and more they taught me about Jesus Christ and the atonement. I was baptized eighteen years ago and have been sober ever since. I have all that I have because of those young missionaries.

How I live my faith

I enjoy every day knowing I am closer to Christ. I volunteer for service work like helping the youth paint houses for Christmas in July and the community beatification program. My family goes to church every Sunday and read the scripture every night.

Do Mormons only help Mormons?

Chris
My family and I have been able to use my talents in construction in my community helping others with home repairs and Habitat for Humanity. I have seen the members willing to help who ever they can and never ask what religion or deny anyone because they were not members. Show more Show less
