Hi I'm Mary

I love reading, going for walks with friends, and eating good food. I'm a daughter, sister, wife, and mother and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in Utah, but have spent time living in Georgia and now Indiana. I graduated from BYU with an English Teaching degree, but only taught one year of high school English before starting a family. Now I enjoy tutoring, editing, and doing small writing projects part time. I have 3 beautiful kids and a wonderful husband. I served a mission in Rome, Italy and will always love the Italian culture, people, and food. And I can't forget the gelato! I enjoy good conversations with good friends and being with my family.

Why I am a Mormon

The simplest answer to why I'm a Mormon is because I believe it's true. The things I learn at church increase my happiness and my love for others.

How I live my faith

I'm in charge of the children's Sunday services and programs in my congregation. It's a big job, but I work with wonderful people who have volunteered their time and efforts to teach the children the gospel of Jesus Christ. It's very rewarding to see the faith of the kids grow as they learn the stories of Jesus from the scriptures and how they apply to their own lives. Personally, I try to follow the example of Jesus Christ in my own relationships with people, everyone from my own husband to strangers I meet while doing errands during the day. I hope that I can help people feel understood, valued, and loved.
