Hi I'm Tanya

I grew up in Mesa, AZ in a family of 10. Got married to my highschool sweetheart and we have two children. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My name is Tanya and I grew up in Mesa, AZ in a family of 10. I am the youngest child with three brothers and four sisters. My childhood was wonderful and I loved having such a big family. When I was in high school I met my husband, Jacob. He and I got married and we now have two great young boys. I have considered many career avenues in life but settled on the psychology field. I currently have a bachelors degree in psychology and plan to return for my Masters degree soon. In the meantime, I hold a job as an Administrative Assistance at my children's school. My life right revolves around my family, my job, my church callings, and my children's educations. In my spare time, I love to sit and relax with my children while watching our favorite shows or participating in fun activities with them.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints but that is not why I have chosen to remain Mormon. I believe in the principles that the LDS church teaches. I believe in Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ and have felt their existence in my heart since I was at a very young age and continue to feel it now. I know that the teaching of the church are true and that we can all gain eternal life after our earthly deaths. I believe that the standards we are asked to uphold are for our benefit because it helps us to gain a testimony of Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. Upholding these standards allows us to feel their presence and maintain a spiritual relationship with them.

How I live my faith

I know that I have choices in my life, the LDS church has taught me that, and I choose to represent myself in a way that my Heavenly Father can be proud of. I may not always do the right things and continue to work all myself at all times but that is the beauty of what the LDS church teaches. We all make mistakes, but if we repent of our mistakes with a sincere heart we can better our lives and be our best selves. I choose to better myself by serving in the church. I am currently a den leader for cub scouts and absolutely love serving with these boys. I devote my extra time to planning lessons, teaching, and helping create fun environments for the scouts. I regularly attend church and try to serve as often as I can to better my life. I am happiest when I serve others.
