Hi I'm Glenn

I'm a Vermonter, a Maple Syrup Maker & I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was raised on a Vermont dairy farm. I learned how to work hard at an early age. I later chose to attend college & pursue a career in education, specializing in engineering, metal working, welding & agriculture. I was an FFA advisor. I am a father of 3 lovely daughters, and have 2 grandchildren. I then started my own business, building hand cut timber frame homes & sugarhouses. My wife and I started making maple syrup in 1979 with 25 trees and now 32 years later we tap over 40,000 trees and have a large production facility and store where we sell our maple syrup. I have served my community for decades in town government & as an EMT on our local ambulance.

Why I am a Mormon

When you work in a maple orchard, it is like being in a cathedral. This work is very dependent upon the forces of nature which makes you very aware of spiritual things. The teachings of Jesus Christ help to keep my life focused on that is truly important, helping me to recognize the blessings in my personal and professional life. I have a great desire to be with my family for eternity. The Holy Bible - together with the Book of Mormon and it's teachings of Christ found in it's pages, offers me hope & confidence to face the challenges in my life.

How I live my faith

I have enjoyed many opportunities to serve in my ward as a Bishop, Sunday school teacher, working with both young men and young women. I enjoy visiting the many families and helping them with firewood and building projects. I try to keep my life in harmony with the teachings of Christ. I know that I make mistakes and I am glad that I can repent and feel the love of the Savior and the great sacrifice he made for us.

How can we come to know our Father in Heaven?
