Hi I'm Rachel

I'm a wife, a sister and a daughter. I love my family and love to laugh. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born in South Korea, adopted when I was 5-months-old and flew Korean Air to meet my parents and two older brothers in Los Angeles. I was raised in Washington state and later attended school at Brigham Young University - Provo, where I majored in Advertising & Marketing Management and met my husband of over three years. We currently live in the beautiful state of Colorado and enjoy the great outdoors, winter sports and good food! I have fun working at a photography studio all day and spend extra time coaching a dance team and serving in my calling as a youth teacher. We feel so blessed to be busy and happy and have wonderful opportunities ahead of us.

Why I am a Mormon

My parents were converts to the church and though I grew up in the church, I had few friends and no extended family members that believed as I did. With the love and support of my immediate family and fellow church members, I was able to develop and learn about the truths of the gospel that have been the foundation in my life. Developing Christlike attributes; love, integrity, charity, honesty and so much more, has helped me become the person I am today and recognize my worth and purpose on this earth. I am so grateful for the knowledge that we have of our purposes and missions in this life. I know that life does not end here, but continues on into eternity. I feel so blessed to be sealed to my family in the temple for eternity. Although I was adopted, I know that my family is the family I was meant to be a part of. I have no doubt that God has a plan for me. I am so grateful for his plan for us to be happy and to be with Him and our loved ones forever. Why wouldn't a loving Father in Heaven want his children return to him? Being sealed to my husband and best friend for time and all eternity is also one of the greatest blessings in my life. I have had many great opportunities to hear living prophets and apostles speak to our church members in person, as the prophets of old spoke to their peers, friends and family. The spirit I have felt during those times was so moving and so strong. I know that the instruction and guidance they give is true. I know that God speaks to living prophets today as he did in the Bible and Book of Mormon and continues to lead his church here on this earth. His love for us and church organization is the same as when Christ walked the earth. How amazing it is to know that God is unchanging and his love for us, infinite. I know this gospel of Jesus Christ is true, this is His church upon the earth and he is at the head. I am so blessed to have this knowledge and know that it brings happiness, hope and peace into the lives of many.

How I live my faith

I try to live and share my faith in every aspect of my life. I have spent multiple years working in the youth program of our church - organizing activities, camps, teaching and just being a friend. What an amazing example the youth of the church are to me, in a world of uncertainty and failing morals and values, they are strong, intelligent, charitable and loving teenagers. Yes, teenagers! I try to follow their example by being an example of Christlike love and charity to those around me.
